It is a vivid, highly-saturated, purplish red color and semi-translucent, giving the stone a vibrant, rich glow. The star is centered, straight and complete. This lovely gem is from Burma, also referred to as Myanmar, famous for its unrivaled pinkish red rubies. It measures 8.28 x 8.62 x 2.61 millimeters and is accompanied by Gemological Institute of America Origin Report #2151151388. A very special stone!
